... take a stroll ...

I know that I am taking too long to get ready in the morning when I run out of coffee more than once. Even more so, when my coffee gets cold mid-glass. I hate learning when I finally can walk out the door that I have neglected Maui all morning. She needs to go to the bathroom and be fed and watered. Not only does she need the essentials she also needs some love. I wish that I would get up earlier to do a devotion before my shower and take Maui for a walk. For almost a year I've said I'm going to do that and I have neglected God as if he was a pet that I can just throw out on a leash to pee quick, and be on my way. I feel as if I am not fulfilling God's desires in
Romans 8:5-8:
"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the thins of the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit set their minds on the things of the spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the spirit is Life and Peace. for the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God."

So concurring with the BIBLE, I need to commit to getting up a little early so I can enjoy my morning stroll with God. Why do we drown ourselves in daily flesh stresses? Strolling through God's word is such a blessing when I make a genuine effort to listen and to learn.
I am also going to make an effort today to encourage someone new around me to pray for wisdom and a stronger faith.
"Really great people make you feel that you too, can become GREAT!"
